Full Tilt Comedy is Northern Michigan’s hub for comedy and community, dedicated to elevating the comedic arts across all formats—sketch, stand-up, parody—with a core focus on improvisation. We produce dynamic monthly shows, including the high-energy Comedy Mixtape Variety Show, as well as improv performances that showcase short-form, long-form, and narrative improv styles.
Our commitment to fostering talent doesn’t stop at the stage. Full Tilt Comedy offers regular classes for adults at all experience levels, from beginners to advanced performers. We also provide seasonal and customized classes for students, often partnering with local schools and communities to bring the magic of improv into new spaces. Established in 2019 (formerly Tilt Think Improv), Full Tilt Comedy is a Traverse City-based not-for-profit that thrives on the principles of improv: playfulness, collaboration, boldness in failure, active listening, and the power of "yes-and." These values are at the heart of both our performances and our efforts to build a stronger, more connected community.
